 | Kitty Bennett - Women's Ministries |
Kitty is a long-time member of New Hope Church, serving as the CBS Children's Director for nine years and in the Youth Ministry for five. Her present position as Women's Director is one to which God has called her. She is thankful to know that when God calls, He equips, and He has been preparing her for this ministry for some time. Her life experience enables her to come alongside women to share and encourage.
Kitty's favorite verses are Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who is my strength," and Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
Born in Los Angeles, Kitty grew up in Coronado, California, before the bridge was built. Living at the beach was a blessing but when she turned 18, she was ready to move off the island! Since then she has lived in Orange County, Palm Desert, and now Bend.
Kitty and her husband, Steve, have been married for 23 years. They have two boys: Louis, a senior at Point Loma Nazarene University, and Max, a sophomore at Pepperdine University. Max is doing a "study-abroad" this year in Buenos Aires! The Bennetts are empty nesters who love to visit their boys. Steve has been a custom home builder for 21 years. When Kitty isn't serving at New Hope, she loves to knit, garden, connect with friends, and study God's Word. |
