John, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Olivia arrived at New Hope Church in January of 2007. John is originally from Portland, Oregon, where he attended Multnomah Bible College. John's college internship led him to serve the first 11 years of his ministry life at East Hill Foursquare Church in Gresham, Oregon. There John served as a youth pastor and worship leader for his first 7.5 years. He then served the next 3.5 years as worship pastor for adult worship services.
Prior to his years in ministry, John worked in the secular music world as both a musician and recording engineer.
John's ministry passions are to see people connecting with God through true worship. And secondly to see people realize and experience the new life that only God can give. His favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
John's personal interests include skiing with Elisabeth, being a loving dad to Olivia, recording music and media production, driving his 56’ f100 pick up, and a good game of basketball. |
